Summing up... kinda

Well, I'm back at the ol' Tafe and it appears I have gone quite some time without updating the ol' LJ.

The holidays went quite well when I was actually doing something, good to go out with the lads and all that. Playing pool and watching Spongebob at Robs and going to Waters' and getting given money at the pub by strangers was awesome. Actually, perhaps I should elaborate on that a little bit...
Myself and Thomas Waters who upon returning to his home from an apparently 'wicked-bad' Jam session with Cameron and Dobbo made some particularly fantastic spag bol with lots of olives contained within. Anyway, it was good especially when Lucas managed to slide his off his plate and onto the table. Lots of trouble trying not to laugh, lest I get bashed by the moody young lad.

We then watched Doctor Who, which is awesome. And then Dobbo came over and we chatted for a bit and supped on several (five or so!!) glasses of a particularly fine red wine and we took a shot of bourbon for good measure and stumbled off to go and see the Choir Boys.
Well, this did not work out. 25 bucks to get in? haw. We decided to go to the other of Pinjarra's fine pubs and were making our way over the bridge when we met some bloke who told us it was shut as shut could be an remarked on how 'same' this river was and I seemed to freak out be repeating the same thing we had said before. I'm not too sure really.
We went to the same place as the Choirboys were playing but went to the sports bar. I think that was its definition. We got a midi and sat to watch the girls go by, but there were no girls and the only people going by were aggro.
We went inside and it was at this fortuitous moment two drunken louts assailed myself and Dobbo for having long hair. Turns out he was a miner or something and took pity on us poor students and gave us all his change along with 10 bucks that fell out his wallet and left. We swiped all the other money they'd left lying around too. (hey, we're poor students)
That ammount around 40 bucks I'd wager pretty much paid for the night giving us games of pool (which I am abysmal at when I've had that little bit too much *titter*) and the juke box which we picked a few good songs and when Rob and Cam arrived we had set up a nice little empire of drunken larks.
So all in all a good night.
I did display my entertaining skills by doing a rather fetching little jig whenever I could ala the Ex-Lepper from the Life of Brain and pulling a few faces to amuse the lads. Though mainly Cameron.

That was pretty much one of the better nights of the Hols and the only one I can be bothered to explain at length.

Back to tafe though is another matter.
Got a whole new lot of lecturers and each one is pretty good. They like a good laugh it would seem and don't take themselves or the work too seriosuly which is what I like.
We're getting into the good stuff as well when it comes to work too. We got to use WACOM Tablets for the first time and get to do a photography course as well. Pretty sweet.
Got some new peeps in the class as well they seem nice enough. One of the new girls catches the same bus as me but I am unsure whether I should talk to her or not since I'm pretty dire at small talk and would probably make a pumpkin out of myself.
